Academic aerospace design and analysis project completed at the Autonomous University of Chihuahua. Our team developed a scaled rocket and engine concept in Siemens NX, selected candidate structural materials, and evaluated stress distribution, deformation, and potential failure points using finite element analysis.
I contributed to the overall CAD concept, materials selection, and structural-analysis workflow. In MATLAB, I supported propellant-energy and fuel-efficiency calculations and generated performance and altitude estimates for the scaled vehicle.
The project connected CAD, mechanics of materials, numerical analysis, and propulsion fundamentals in a single engineering workflow while strengthening my ability to document assumptions and interpret simulation results.
